Here's a video of Milo and Nora -- Milo is hiding behind the curtain. It cracks me up how he keeps giggling as he's hiding, and then he "hides" with his little legs sticking straight out.
The kids have developed a fake coughing habit, which is really annoying, and a fake sneezing habit (they say "aaaa-choo"), which is cute. New words lately include "car", "light", "boo", and "pot". (The kind you cook with, not the kind you use to relieve glaucoma symptoms in California). Milo has settled on "Noon-a" for Nora, and he calls himself "Money". Nora calls herself "Nana" and calls Milo "Mama", which is confusing because that's also the word she has for me. Milo is much more into Nora than the reverse. He likes to tackle her and "cuddle" the way he does with the cat. Nora is less tolerant of this behavior than the cat.
Nora asks to be picked up about a hundred times a day. It's the first thing she says in the morning and she keeps saying it all day long. Milo has become very interested in the windows and looking outside. Now that it's light out in the mornings I'll open up the window shades and Milo will excitedly peer out the window of the nursery.
Today was kind of an annoying, tiring, lousy day but it's really true that coming home to the kids makes all of that other stuff seem relatively unimportant. They really do have a way of reminding me of what really matters, and the rest of the stuff is just water under the bridge.
