Good Things

Good Thing #1: Milo rolled over today from his back to his belly for the first time!

Good Thing #2: Professors/Moms group in my division at the university. People have helpful advice to give, an ear to lend, and strategies to dissect. Having kids really does link you in to a whole community of support. Maybe somebody in the group will clue me in about how to get tenure while taking care of two babies. Or, more realistically, how to prepare myself for not getting it.

Good Thing #3: Tuesday neighborhood new moms' group. Actually some aren't new moms, but everybody has a small baby and so far they're fun to hang out with. Most week we meet in the park right outside my house and go on walks or play on the grass.

Good Thing #4: It is finally, finally, finally warming up.

Good Thing #5: My teacher friends are coming this weekend. Nothing makes me happier than a weekend with them.

Good Thing #6: Nora's latest development is that she likes to look at you from across the room, trade smiles, and then start giggling maniacally. Despite the fact that this child never sleeps, she still somehow manages to be a very happy baby.
