Tonight I let Nora feed herself some pureed bananas with a spoon and this was the result. The picture actually doesn't capture the true mess, the fact that her entire face, both arms, and all of her hair was covered with bananas. At one point Nora actually seemed to be using her spoon as a comb, smearing bananas all through her hair. When the spoon wasn't effective enough, she switched to her hands (which she had dunked in the bowl).
This was way beyond any washcloth, so after dinner we just hosed her off in the sink. Admittedly, Nora was not a fan of this approach, but it got the job done.
