Nora: Where is my penguin's nose? Where did the nose go? The nose is gone. What happened to my penguin's nose?
Milo: Hmm.
Nora: Maybe I ate it.
Milo: Yeah, I saw you do that.

This morning out of the blue Nora asked me who built our town back before any of us lived here. Somehow that question led to a series of more questions that culminated in asking how babies get into their Mommy's tummies. Blindsided!

Tonight I made a vegan version of scalloped potatoes with mushrooms and shallots, using almond milk instead of cream. It was good. Small steps away from dairy.
