That grant that our PO told us we almost certainly weren't going to get? Well, today we talked to her, and she's sending us questions. (That's a VERY good sign indicating the likelihood of getting the grant after all). !!! This is very exciting! The down side is that it's for a much reduced budget - in fact, only 1/3 of our original budget. However, 1/3 of our original budget will still yield a 3-year grant that has a larger budget than my current 5-year CAREER award, so it's not anything to sneeze at!
This is a really amazing and surprising turn of events!
Today is our home day and Milo & Nora had their 2nd swimming lesson of the summer this morning. It went well, they both like it and are putting their heads in the water. Both jumped into the pool on their own without holding the teacher's hand! And they look so cute in their little swim caps and goggles.
