Milo has a fever of 102. He never even recovered from his last sickness. Over the past 2 weeks we only had 1 day that both kids were in school. Now I have to stay home with Milo tomorrow. The day after I got this super important tight 2-week deadline for a tenure-determining paper. You see the irony here?

We are drowning. We have no good options. I fear one of us is going to lose our job over this.there is no end in sight. He will probably have to be out of school most or all of the week. I travel to DC on Wednesday. This is unbelievable. There is no safety net. I am beyond demoralized.
