Here is a picture from our weekly newsletter from the kids' preschool. The caption reads, "Nora deeply explores the qualities of color and line as she paints at the easel and at the tiny table."
I bet you didn't know my kid was deeply exploring the qualities of color and line. I didn't either. That's what the school is for, I guess. It is, after all, a preschool of the ARTS. So, they are super into dance, drawing, painting, sculpting, music, storytelling, etc. They are not, by the way, into math.
I think this is a problem in general but isn't a problem for my kids. I can handle the math at home. I definitely cannot handle the arts, so I'm glad somebody else is taking care of that.
