Yes, we'd been out for almost an hour at that point so he was pretty close to done. But seeing them out there with their friend who was trying it for the first time made me realize how far they've come in just a few weeks.
Both are begging me to play hockey. I think hockey lessons (which start at age 3 here) are in our future next winter.
Jake never did, Ken did. I'm not thrilled about it either but it may be hard to avoid given the incredible presence it has in the neighborhood and the town. At least it's not football...

Ack-hockey?!! Did Jake ever play hockey? (somehow, Ken comes to mind for hockey, not Jake.)
You know, we only came home on the 5th, and that might have been the first day you took them out to skate. They are fast learners.
